The post of investment banking director of BMO Capital Markets in Houston, Texas, has been held by Jeffrey Maddox since January of this year. Maddox joined the firm in 2017 as a vice president and has since advanced to the position of president. In addition, he joined BMO in May 2021 as a member of the SPAC Advisory Practice, having previously worked in the energy department. As a special purpose acquisition company (or SPAC), concentrating on SPAC transactions is a niche subject within the investment banking industry that requires specific knowledge. The years of expertise Maddox has gained have made him particularly equipped to serve in this role for BMO.
BMO Capital Markets is well known and acknowledged as a leading supplier of financial services around the globe. The corporation was founded in Canada more than 200 years ago and continues to be located in Toronto under the umbrella of the Bank of Montreal, which serves as its parent organization. BMO Capital Markets has offices in a number of key cities in the United States and throughout the world to better serve its corporate and investment banking clients, as well as to conduct research and provide advisory services to them.
As a result of Maddox's experience gained while working at BMO Capital Markets and in various jobs, he was promoted to the SPAC Advisory Practice and director position in 2013. Maddox works with target firms on the sell-side and with SPACs on the buy-side as part of his SPAC Advisory practice. This involves keeping an open line of communication with SPAC's management teams and sponsors on a regular basis.
From 2017 till the present, Jeffrey Maddox has been a member of the BMO Capital Markets team. After two years as a vice president, he was promoted to the post of director in December 2019, a position that he continues to occupy, along with the additional duties that have come with the transfer to SPAC Advisory.

Aside from that, he worked for two years as an associate at Clarkson Capital Markets in the greater Houston region. In this position, he was responsible for the investment banking niches of marine and energy services. In addition to these positions, I worked as an analyst and associate at GulfStar Group in Houston, where I primarily provided sell-side investment services, and as an audit associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers, a top firm that provides audit, advisory, and tax services through a global network of firms.
